Emihle Majikija

Legal Researcher

Emihle joined SECTION27 as a Legal Researcher in September 2024 in the Health and Education programmes.

She obtained an LLB from the University of Pretoria (UP) where she is completing her LLM in Multidisciplinary Human Rights as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.

She has spent time as an Academic Associate at the Department of Public Law at UP, covering Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Public International Law and worked at the renowned Centre for Human Rights as Project Associate in the Expression, Information and Digital Rights Unit.

Emihle has conducted research and contributed to reports on disability rights, climate justice, and peace and security in Africa and she is keenly interested in law reform for a just society, climate justice and the regulation of emerging technologies in Africa.
