Mduduzi Nkosi

Budget Researcher

Mduduzi Nkosi joined Section27 in February 2025 as a Budget Researcher in the Budget team.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town.

He previously worked in the local government unit at the Financial and Fiscal Commission, where he was part of a team that conducted research on the division of nationally raised revenue and the Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations (IGFR) system.

Mduduzi is passionate about social justice and the use of the fiscus as well as general public policy as tools to enact redress and eradicate the pervasive inequality in South Africa.
