Tendai Mafuma

Senior Legal Researcher

Tendai fondly known as Tendie rejoined SECTION27 as a Senior Legal Researcher for both Health and Education Rights. She was based in Washington DC as an O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law fellow and a former associate.

During her first stint at SECTION27, she worked as a legal researcher for Health Rights before pursuing her Master of Law (LLM) in National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University.

Tendai also holds qualifications in LLB, MSC in Biochemistry and a BSc Hons in Biochemistry. She sat on the board of South African Alcohol Policy Alliance (SAAPA) and clerked for Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga at the Constitutional court.
