Budget Researcher

I joined SECTION27 in February 2022 as a budget researcher. Here, I fulfil my passion for advancing fiscal policy and interventions that are needed to advance equality and socio-economic rights in South Africa.

I was born in Ga-Rankuwa and raised in eMalahleni where I experienced the adverse impact of mining activities on drinking water and air quality, prompting my interest in social development.

Before joining SECTION27, I studied at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, completing a Master’s in International Development and Education as well as at Wits University, where I completed my BCom in Accounting Sciences.

I have professional experience in government (education), tech and policy.
