Vuyelwa is a demographer with experience in civil society, management consulting, and government. She has a passion for telling the story behind the numbers. The civil society sector is where she feels most challenged and fulfilled because of the critical role it plays in providing a voice to the voiceless in promoting and protecting human rights across different contexts.

Vuyelwa obtained her MA and BA Hons. in Demography and Population Studies and a BA in Political Studies and International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand.
