I am a legal researcher at SECTION27 working in the education rights programme. I started working part-time at SECTION27 as an intern, and have now joined the organisation on a full-time basis.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in law, politics and international relations and an LLB from Wits. I completed both degrees with distinction.
I am passionate about using law and advocacy as instruments to effect social change. In a country as unequal as South Africa, I believe civil society has a huge role to play in promoting justice and fighting against oppression. I have always wanted to assist in this fight and to advocate for structural change in a meaningful way. I joined SECTION27 for this purpose.
