Rachel Thandeka Milanzi
I started working at SECTION27 on 3 July 2017.
I do funder Budget Monitoring which in short means that I have to know how much is being spent and which of our donors will be funding that specific activity. I also manage the Fixed Asset Register which entails ensuring that all fixed assets are being accounted for as per accounting regulations and the SECTION27 policy.
I stick around because it is a great feeling of accomplishment to know that our work is helping others.
Before SECTION27 I was doing my 3 year SAIPA articles with PwC which I completed at the end of June 2017. As a PwC trainee I was given an opportunity to perform all activities related to the accounting function. I have a Bcom Accounting Degree and a Bcom Honours In Accounting with Specialization in Taxation both obtained from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). I am a qualified Professional Accountant (SA) registered with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA)
