Realising basic education as a social-economic right: How far have we come and where are we going?
The Legal Resources Centre, Section27, Equal Education Law Centre, Centre for Child Law and Centre for Applied Legal Studies would like to invite you to attend our Education Conference: “Realising basic education as a social-economic right: How far have we come and where are we going”.
Objectives
The aim of the conference is to provide the following:
- An overview of the outcomes of policy, law reform and litigation that has been undertaken, so that the process and content of these are understood.
- Discussions on non-legal initiatives being pursued to advance the right to basic education.
- Information on how a better collaboration and understanding between legal and non-legal initiatives can positively impact the fulfillment of the right to basic education.
