Nasreen Rajab-Budlender SC has been a practicing advocate since 2005 and was conferred the status of Senior Counsel in 2021. Prior to joining the Bar, she worked at a large Johannesburg law firm. She also served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Arthur Chaskalson at the Constitutional Court and a researcher for the Judicial Services Commission between 2001-2003.
Her primary areas of practice include Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Employment Law and Environmental Law. Nasreen has frequently acted as a judge of the High Court and has acted as a judge of the Land Claims Court.
Nasreen is the Chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Advertising Regulatory Board. She is also a panellist with the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) and she regularly acts an arbitrator in private arbitrations.
Nasreen has served as a Director of various Non-Profits, Educational and Commercial Boards.
