SECTION27 has sent a Submission on the Draft Lotteries Amendment Bill, 2013 to the Department of Trade and Industry. In it we argue that while the Draft Lotteries Policy acknowledged that there is a “need to broaden the scope of categories” of funding, organisations that most need the funding may be excluded because “human rights and social justice work is not sufficiently recognised by the NLDTF as being essential to national priorities.” Attached is the full Submission.
