In South Africa, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights are enshrined in section 27 of the Constitution, which states that “everyone has the right to access health care services, including reproductive health care”. Sexual Reproductive Health Rights encompass an important group of human rights and include the right to define your sexuality; the right to education, including the right to comprehensive sexuality education. Below, our Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Handbook contains information developed to help young people navigate adolescence and topics such as mensuration, puberty, safe abortion and HIV.
