Department of Basic Education’s plan to address school furniture backlogs in Limpopo

The Department of Basic Education (“DBE”) provided SECTION27 with a plan to address the school furniture backlog in the province on 15 December 2012. The plan was submitted following a meeting between SECTION27 and the DBE (including the Deputy Minister) and the Limpopo Department of Education to discuss the ongoing education crisis in Limpopo. Measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.

In light of the announcement by President Ramaphosa on Sunday 15 March 2020 that Covid-19 has been declared a national disaster, we have decided to take the following measures to protect our staff and limit the spread of the CoVid-19 virus.

Our offices will be closed and our staff will work remotely until 31 March 2020.

Meetings will be conducted via electronic means.

Our advice desk will only conduct telephonic consultations.
