The Abidjan Principles
In February 2019, a group of 57 international education rights experts adopted the Abidjan Principles. The Principles provide an official reference text outlining the human rights obligations of States to provide public education and to regulate the role of private actors in education.
To commemorate the second anniversary of the Abidjan Principles, a series of videos will bring together interviews from the experts involved in the development of the Principles. This first video takes a look at what the Abidjan Principles are and their legal value.
