The Special Investigating Unit has released a report of its investigations and outcomes into allegations on the covid-19 personal protective equipment (PPE) procurement by state institutions.
The report points to serious irregularities and maladministration in the procurement of PPE’s during the period of 1 January 2020 – 23 July 2020. For this period, the SIU investigations look into 2556 contracts to the value of R13.7 billion.
